I started Sawmill HR because I saw a need for practical, approachable HR support for small businesses.
Not every business needs a full-time HR person, but that doesn’t mean they don’t need someone to turn to when an employee issue comes up, a policy needs to be written, they’re making a new hire, or they simply aren’t sure what the right next step is.
I wanted to create something that gives small business owners that support without making HR feel complicated or overly corporate. Someone they can call when they need help, who will take the time to understand their business and give them practical advice they can actually use.
